Sorty reads messages like these and turns them into tracked tasks: Will send by 4 PM, Kal subah tak bhej deta hoon, आज शाम तक भेज दूंगा, Dispatching batch 3 today, GSTR-3B file kar dungi, Order udya pathvato, Deploy on staging by 6, Reel cut 2 ready shaam tak, Challan upload karke batata hoon, Machine changeover done by 2, Form 16 collect by 5 PM, Udya sakali pathvto, Patch review before standup.

Why Sorty

Where Sorty fits in your workday

You don't have to throw away the tools you already use. This is simply where daily work gets stuck.

For casual talk

1. Personal chat (WhatsApp)

Great for quick hellos, jokes and family updates. But when fifty new group messages land, a job handed out at 2 PM is buried and forgotten by 4.

Where work lives

2. Sorty (everyday work chat)

Your team chats normally, exactly like they always have. Sorty spots the tasks and questions, tracks who owes what, and reminds people politely. The whole conversation stays attached, so nobody ever has to ask “wait, which invoice was this about?”

Zero forms to fill · No manual status logging

For six-month plans

3. Heavy project tools (Jira, Asana)

Worth every rupee for long-term roadmaps. But nobody opens a web dashboard with twenty fields just to type “sending Form 16 draft” or “dispatching batch 4 at 4 PM”.

How it works

See how normal chat becomes a task

No special app to learn. No forms to fill. Just the way your team already talks.

Owner · Ramesh (Supervisor)

Sorty will message Ramesh for a status update if this isn't marked finished by 3:30 PM.

Nobody opened a form. Nobody set a reminder. Nobody typed the task.

Features

Why busy teams love Sorty.

Built for operations that move fast, on phones, in the middle of a shift.

The chat is the context.

Never wonder why a task exists. Tap it and land on the exact message it came from, with the photo, the reply and the whole thread still around it.

“Quote revise karke aaj bhej deta hoon, 5 baje tak”

Zero forms, zero data entry.

No dropdowns, no tickets, no training class. Your crew types the way they already type on any messenger, and the tracking happens behind them.

→You just type the sentence.

It reads how your team actually talks.

Hindi, Marathi, Hinglish, English — including all of them mixed into one sentence, which is how real shop floors and real firms actually write. There is no language setting to pick, and nobody has to type in English for the software's benefit.

Polite follow-ups, so you don't have to nag.

Nobody enjoys chasing a colleague. When the time comes, Sorty asks whoever it's for: is this done, or do you need longer?

  • 3:30 PMIs this done, or do you need more time?
  • Done, packing shuru
  • Closed. No nudges after this.

It's a proper messenger first.

One-to-one and group chats, photos, replies and @mentions. On a shop floor the photo often is the message — the damaged part, the finished batch, the challan.

  • Groups & one-to-one
  • Photos from the floor
  • Replies & @mentions

One list, not a to-do app.

A task stays on the list until somebody marks it done, newest at the top, with how long ago it was said. No calendars, no priorities, no grooming.

No calendar. No priority field. No backlog to groom.

Who it's for

Made for real businesses

Anywhere a job or a promise made in passing decides whether a client, a shift or a deadline holds.

Factories & job shops

Machine changeovers, raw-material dispatch times, urgent part replacements and shift handovers, tracked without a paper log or a supervisor's memory.

  • “Dispatch batch 3 by 4 PM”
  • “CNC cutter blade arriving 2 PM”

CA, tax & audit firms

Client GST deadlines, TDS return dates, PAN confirmations and partner sign-offs, none of which should depend on scrolling back through a group.

  • “Send Sharma GSTR-3B by noon”
  • “Collect Form 16 by 5 PM”

Small IT & dev studios

Client hotfixes, certificate renewals, staging deploys and quick patch reviews — the work that never justifies a twenty-field ticket but still has to happen today.

  • “Rotate gateway key by 6 PM”
  • “SSL renewal before Friday”

Agencies & client ops

Rush edits, print approvals, copy sign-offs and weekend launches, so nothing promised — or handed off — to a client in a group chat quietly disappears.

  • “Deliver reel cut 2 by 4:30 PM”
  • “Print approval before 6”

No awkward chasing

Pricing

Priced so chat never stops

Every plan includes unlimited messaging. What a plan buys is how much of your chat Sorty reads to find new tasks and questions each day — and when that runs out, your messages and your existing tasks carry on exactly as before.

Who pays for a conversation

Whoever starts a chat pays for it. Join somebody else's group and it costs you nothing — you are never billed for a conversation you were simply added to, and never silently funding one you don't read.

Running out never stops your chat

When a day's budget is spent, messages still send, still arrive, and every task already found is still tracked and still nudges. Only the finding of new tasks pauses, and it resumes on its own.

FAQ

Common questions

Simple answers, without the technical jargon. Anything we've missed, ask it on the pilot call.

  • Free to start
  • Works on basic Android phones
  • No forms to fill
  • Your messages, never your address book
Do my staff need special training?

No. Sorty is a chat app. If somebody can use WhatsApp, they can use Sorty on their first day: no forms, no dropdowns, no tickets. They type the way they already type, and the tracking happens behind them.

Does this replace WhatsApp completely?

Only for work, and that is the point. Work chat moves to Sorty so nothing gets lost; family groups, jokes and personal chat stay exactly where they are. Most teams start with one Sorty group — one shift, one client, or one project — and leave everything else alone.

Do we have to stop using our other project software?

No. Jira, Asana and your ERP are built for six-month plans, and they are good at that. Sorty is for the job or question that comes up at 2 PM and has to be handled by 5 — whether it's a promise somebody made, or work handed to somebody else. They sit side by side, because nobody opens a dashboard to type “dispatching batch 4 at 4 PM”.

What if someone writes in Hindi, Marathi or Hinglish?

That is the normal case here, not an edge case. Sorty reads Hindi, Marathi, Hinglish and English, including a sentence that mixes them — “kal subah tak bhej deta hoon” is a commitment, and Sorty reads it as a task.

Is our chat private?

Messages are encrypted where they are stored, and only the people in a conversation can read them in the app. We will also say the harder part plainly: Sorty is not end-to-end encrypted. The whole product is software reading your work chat to find tasks and questions, and that is impossible if nobody can read it. We keep only the people you actually connect with — never your whole address book.

What happens if we hit the free limit?

Messages keep sending and arriving as normal, and every task already found stays tracked and still nudges. The only thing that pauses is Sorty reading new messages to find new tasks, and it starts again by itself when the day resets. Nothing to unwind, nothing to drain.

How long does it take to set up?

About ten minutes. Install it, sign in with your phone number and a WhatsApp code, make one group and add your team. There is no admin console, no workspace to configure and no member directory to maintain: the conversation is the container, exactly like a WhatsApp group.
